The HefeWeizen project is an ebXML messaging (ebMS) system. This system supports the OASIS ebXML messaging version 2.0 and OASIS ebXML Collaboration Protocol Agreements (CPA's) version 2.0 specifications.

An ebXML messaging system is typically used to reliably and securely exchange business documents over the Internet.

Software

Different parts of HefeWeizen are implemented in different programming languages. The most part is done in Ruby. Bash scripts and some C code (for XML Security related parts).

Currently the only targeted platform is the GNU/Linux platform.

Source Code

The source code is available under a subversion control system (http://subversion.tigris.org). Use a subversion client to retrieve to source code.

Once all the source code is downloaded you find a directory called HefeWeizen with three subdirectories called branches, tags, and trunk. The trunk subdirectory holds the latest version of the software.

Installation

• It is the goal of the project to provide proper Linux Distribution packages.
• It is the goal of the project to provide live-cds of the HefeWeizen sytem. Main use case is easy way for new people to test the system.

But until then, the pages [InstallationOfHefeWeizen] (targeted at a Debian GNU/Linux sytem) and [CommandLine] describe best how to install the HefeWeizen system. Further they provide the information how to let the two sample organisations (Coronation and Gnaraloo) trade business documents between each other.
